Free project schedule tools: compare P6 XER files
Tools for planners, claims consultants, owner's representatives and subcontractors who receive project schedules every month but have no licence for the software that made them.
The schedule comparison reads Primavera P6 XER exports directly and shows what changed between two updates: how far the data date and the project finish moved, which activities were added or deleted, changed durations and dates, progress, relationships added, removed or changed, constraints, calendar edits (also when a calendar kept its name), float erosion, new negative float and changes to the critical path. Upload a single XER instead and you get a schedule health check in the style of the DCMA 14-point assessment.
Every result comes as a printable report, an Excel workbook with a sheet for each kind of change and a CSV list, and the main findings are shown on the page before you download. Dates and float are taken from the schedule as P6 last calculated it.
