Another version of the same project (any of the kinds above). You get a report of added, removed and changed programs, ladder blocks, lines of structured text, device comments, labels and settings, from the first project to this one.

Commissioning notes, a maintenance binder, a review with someone who has no programming software: all of them need the PLC program on paper. Upload a GX Works2, GX Works3 or GX Developer project and get one PDF of the whole project, laid out the way the GX Works printout looks.

How a ladder block is printed

      • The step number of each block sits at the left rail, as in the ladder editor.
      • Statements (the comment lines above a block) are printed above it in italics, notes next to the instruction they belong to.
      • Contacts show normally open, normally closed, rising and falling edge; comparisons such as [= D0 K10] are drawn in line like a contact.
      • Coils and application instructions (MOV, SET, ZRST, DMOV, BMOV and the rest) stand at the right rail, timer and counter coils with their set value above them.
      • Branches are drawn as GX Works shows them, also for blocks built with MPS, MRD, MPP, ANB and ORB, with several outputs stacked at the right rail.
      • The device comment of every device is printed under it, wrapped to the width of the element. Blocks too wide for the page are scaled a little or continued on the next line with numbered marks.

Structured ladder, FBD, ST and SFC programs are in the same PDF: sheets drawn from their saved positions, ST as numbered code, SFC as a chart with steps, transitions and branches followed by the ladder of every action and condition.

      Order of the printout

      1. A project page: file, CPU type, series, software, the date it was saved where the project records it, parameters and counts.
      2. A contents page with page numbers; the PDF also has bookmarks for every program.
      3. The programs in the order of the program setting, then function blocks and functions, then programs that are not in the program setting, then library POUs. Local labels are printed with each program.
      4. Global labels, structures, device comments, aliases, device points and the program setting.
      5. A cross reference: for every device and label, the program and the steps where it is used as a contact, coil or instruction operand.

      Options

      • A4 or Letter paper.
      • Texts under the devices: the device comments, the aliases of a GX Developer project, or nothing for a compact printout.

      Before you download

The result page shows the project summary, the list of programs with their size and the first program drawn exactly as in the PDF. If a block cannot be drawn, it is printed as its instruction list and the result page says where.
