Print a TIA Portal project to PDF
Printing from TIA Portal needs the right TIA Portal version and a licence on the computer at hand, and the printout settings take some getting used to. Upload the project here and get one PDF with the whole program, ready to read on a tablet, mark up or file with the machine documentation.
What the printout holds
- A contents page and bookmarks, so a long project is quick to move around in.
- Project information and hardware: the devices with CPU type, order number and firmware.
- Every block in the order of the project tree: its number, name, language, version and dates, its interface (inputs, outputs, in/outs, statics, temps, constants with types, start values and comments), then each network with its title and comment.
- LAD networks drawn with rails, contacts, coils, parallel branches and boxes (timers, counters, edge boxes, comparators, MOVE, calls of other blocks with their parameters); FBD networks as boxes and wires. The tag name, address and comment stand above each operand.
- SCL blocks as code, line by line, and STL blocks as statements.
- Data blocks with their members and values, PLC data types, tag tables with addresses and comments, and watch and force tables.
- A cross reference of every tag and address: which block and network reads or writes it.
The page size is A4 or Letter.
Which projects
A project archive (.zap11 to .zap21), or the project folder as a .zip. Projects saved with
TIA Portal V11 to V20 have been tested. STEP 7 (SIMATIC Manager) projects and STEP 5 programs
print the same way.
What does not print
Know-how protected blocks print with their names and a note, since their code is stored encrypted. S7-GRAPH sequences print with their interface and a note that the sequence is not shown. HMI screens are listed by name, not drawn.
