Move your song library without retyping it
A church's song library grows song by song over many years. When you change presentation software, or share songs with a church that uses a different program, the new program usually can't read the old one's files: EasyWorship doesn't import from ProPresenter, OpenLP can't read ProPresenter 7, and ProPresenter can't open an EasyWorship database. Retyping hundreds of songs takes weeks.
This converter reads the song files and databases of the common presentation programs directly and writes them out for the program you are moving to. Each song keeps its title, its slides, its section labels (Verse 1, Chorus, Bridge…), the order in which the sections are sung, and its authors, CCLI song number and copyright.

.xmlfile per song for OpenLP, FreeShow and other programs, with chords, key, verse order, songbook and themes. - EasyWorship 6 / 7: one text file per song in the layout of a CCLI SongSelect download, which EasyWorship's song editor imports with the title and copyright.
- ChordPro, with chords, and plain text, with every song also in one combined file.
- A song list (Excel and CSV) of every song found: title, authors, CCLI number, copyright, key, sections, and whether it was converted or skipped (and why).
Before you download, the preview lists the songs, shows the first song section by section, and notes anything that could not be carried over. Every conversion also comes with a sample of the first 10 songs, so you can try the import in your program first.
Importing the converted songs
ProPresenter 7: unzip the download, then drag the .pro files onto a library in
ProPresenter's library list. The text uses ProPresenter's default text box (white, centred,
shrinking to fit), so select the songs and apply your own theme.
ProPresenter 6: unzip and drag the .pro6 files into a library. ProPresenter 7 can import
.pro6 files as well.
OpenLP: File → Import → Song, choose OpenLyrics or OpenLP 2 Exported Song, and add all the
.xml files at once. FreeShow imports the same files with its OpenLyrics (OpenLP) import.
EasyWorship: EasyWorship imports song files one at a time. Create a new song, click the
Import icon in the song editor and pick a .txt file; the README in the download has the
steps.

Backgrounds, pictures, videos, audio, fonts, text styles and slide layouts are never carried over, and neither are notes attached to single slides. ProPresenter songs keep their group colours; songs from other programs get ProPresenter's standard colours. When a slide has several text boxes (a translation, for example), their texts are put together on one slide. EasyWorship and text files keep only labels that read as labels (Verse 2, Chorus, Bridge…): a custom group name such as “Song” would otherwise be imported as a line of lyrics. Empty and picture-only groups (ProPresenter's “Blank” slides) are kept in ProPresenter output only.
Your songs and copyright
Song lyrics are usually copyrighted. This tool is for converting your own church's song library, which you already use under your licences (for example CCLI); it doesn't provide, share or keep any lyrics. Your upload is deleted as soon as the conversion finishes and the converted files are deleted after 30 minutes, or when you click Delete now.
