Edit ProPresenter songs in your browser
ProPresenter only runs on the computer it is installed on. This editor lets you prepare and
fix songs anywhere: open a .pro or .pro6 file (or a whole library), change the words, the
groups and the arrangements, and save a file that ProPresenter imports. It also opens the songs
of other presentation programs, so you can tidy a song from EasyWorship, OpenLP or a ChordPro
chord sheet before it goes into ProPresenter.
What it opens
| Program | Open |
|---|---|
| ProPresenter 7 or later | .pro files, .probundle files, or a ZIP of a library folder |
| ProPresenter 4, 5 or 6 | .pro4, .pro5 and .pro6 files, or a ZIP of the library folder |
| EasyWorship 6 or 7 | Songs.db together with SongWords.db from the Databases\Data folder, or .ewsx schedules |
| EasyWorship 2009 | Songs.DB together with Songs.MB (with only Songs.MB, the words of every song open; SongKeys.DB adds the titles and authors) |
| OpenLP and others | OpenLP's songs.sqlite, OpenLyrics .xml, ChordPro, OpenSong (a ZIP of the Songs folder), SongShow Plus .sbsong, CCLI SongSelect .txt and .usr, plain text |
You can open up to 500 files at once and keep up to 10,000 songs in the list. Opening more files adds their songs to the list.
What you can change
- Groups: add, rename, recolour (or go back to ProPresenter's standard colour for the name), duplicate, move up and down, delete.
- Slides: type the words, split a slide where the cursor is, merge it with the next one,
add, move and delete slides. Chords are written in brackets before their syllable, such as
[G]Amazing [C]grace. - Arrangements: make a new one (empty, or from the group order), add groups in any order and as often as they are sung, move them by buttons or by dragging, rename, duplicate, delete, and choose which arrangement comes first. The first one is the song's order.
- Details: title, other titles, authors with their role, copyright, publisher, CCLI song number, key, tempo, themes, songbook and number, notes.
A strip under the editor shows the slides as they will be sung, white on black at 16:9, with the group colours. Click a slide there to edit it. Undo and Redo (Ctrl+Z, Ctrl+Y) go back through every change, and the search finds songs by title, author, CCLI number or words.
New songs from lyrics
Paste the words of a song into New from lyrics. Blank lines start a new slide, and a line
such as Verse 1, Chorus, Bridge or [V1] starts a group. A group named again further down
with no words under it is sung again, so the arrangement is made for you. Chords in brackets or
on a line above the words are kept, and the footer of a CCLI SongSelect download fills in the
authors, the CCLI number and the copyright. You see the groups and slides before you accept
them, and you can have long slides split into two or four lines each.
What it saves
- ProPresenter 7 (
.pro) and ProPresenter 6 (.pro6): the groups with their colours, every arrangement, the title and the CCLI details. Drag the files onto a library in ProPresenter. Text comes in ProPresenter's default style, so apply your own theme. - OpenLyrics (
.xml) for OpenLP and FreeShow, with chords, verse order and every detail. - EasyWorship 6 / 7 import files, ChordPro with chords, and plain text.
Save the song you are working on, all songs, or the songs the search found; several songs come as a ZIP with one file per song. When a format can't carry something (chords in ProPresenter, for example), a note after saving says so.
Limits
The editor works on words. Backgrounds, pictures, videos, audio, fonts, text styles and slide layouts of an opened ProPresenter file are not kept, and a slide with several text boxes keeps their text as one. An arrangement without groups is not saved. It runs in current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari; on a phone it works, but a wider screen makes it easier.
Your files and your work
Files you open are read on our server, which turns them into songs for the editor. Saved files are made on our server and deleted after 30 minutes. The songs you edit are kept in your browser on this device, so they are there again when you come back; nothing is stored in an account.
