Moving from OpenLP to ProPresenter often means copying lyrics into new presentations song by song. This page reads OpenLP's song database or its OpenLyrics export and writes ProPresenter 7 documents, one per song, keeping OpenLP's verse order.
What to upload
- The whole library:
songs.sqlite. In OpenLP choose Tools → Open Data Folder; the file is in thesongsfolder. Close OpenLP before copying it. - Selected songs: export them with OpenLP's song export (File → Export → Song), which
writes OpenLyrics
.xmlfiles, and upload those files (or a ZIP of them).
Both work with OpenLP 2 and 3.
How OpenLP songs map to ProPresenter

Formatting tags such as {r}…{/r} are removed; the words stay. Songs that only exist as a
temporary copy inside a service are left out, as OpenLP itself hides them.
What doesn't come across
ProPresenter documents have no place for OpenLP's topics, songbooks and song numbers, and chords are not written into the slides; the conversion notes list the songs affected. The OpenLP theme and any audio attached to songs stay behind. In ProPresenter the words appear in the default text box, so apply your own theme after importing.
Importing
Unzip the download and drag the .pro files onto a library in ProPresenter 7 or later. The
preview shows every song's groups in sung order before you download, and the first 10 songs
come as a sample you can try first.
