    Options

    Pick the Premiere Pro version you have to get a copy it opens. Features that version lacks may be left out or changed when it opens the project.

    Every sequence as a Final Cut Pro 7 XML (DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, Avid, Premiere Pro), CMX 3600 EDLs per track and an OpenTimelineIO file. Clips, cuts, speed, transitions, position, scale, rotation, crop and opacity come across; other effects are listed.

    Your files are deleted after processing.

    List every media file in a Premiere Pro project

    Moving a project to another computer, archiving it, or handing it to an editor without the original drives starts with one question: which files does it use? Premiere Pro's Project Manager answers it only when Premiere is open and the media is online. This tool reads the list from the .prproj itself.

    What the list holds

    A CSV file that opens in Excel or Numbers, one line per media file:

    • the file name and the full path Premiere Pro links to;
    • the path where Premiere last found the file, when it differs (after relinking);
    • the sequences that use the file;
    • whether the file is in a bin.

    Files that sit in bins but are used in no sequence are listed too, so you can see what an archive can leave out. The report next to it lists every sequence with its frame rate, size, length and number of tracks and clips.

    Works on damaged projects

    The list comes from whatever can still be read, so it also helps when the project itself won't open: upload it, and the media list and the report tell you what the edit used, even if some sequences were lost.
