Free FileMaker and Microsoft Money file converters
Tools for business and household data that has outlived the software that made it. Customer lists, orders, invoices, stock and catalogues were often kept for years in a small database on one office computer, and years of family finances in a program that is no longer sold. When that computer, the licence or the person who set it up is gone, the records are still needed.
The FileMaker converter reads .fp3, .fp5, .fp7 and .fmp12 files directly, without FileMaker installed, including old .fp5 files that current FileMaker versions no longer open. Every table becomes an Excel sheet, a CSV file, a SQLite table and JSON, with the field names and types. For .fp7 and .fmp12 files, the pictures and PDFs stored in container fields come out in a separate ZIP.
Before you download, a preview lists the tables with their record and field counts and shows the first records, so you can check that everything is there.
Microsoft Money files hold years of household and small-business finances, and Money has not been sold since 2009. The Money converter reads .mny files and .mbf backups from Money 98 to Money Plus Sunset without Money, including password-protected files, and exports accounts, transactions, categories, payees and investments to Excel, CSV, QIF and OFX. It checks every account balance against the one Money saved in the file.
