Resize one photo or a whole folder
Drop in images, or a .zip of a folder, choose a size and download the results, all together as
a ZIP that keeps your sub-folders or one by one.
- Fit inside a box (e.g. 1600 × 1600 makes the longest side 1600 px for portrait and landscape photos alike), fill and crop to an exact size (square profile pictures, product photos), pad to an exact size without cropping, stretch, or scale by percentage.
- Save as JPEG, PNG or WebP, or keep each file's format. Quality 75–85 is indistinguishable from the original for most photos and is a fraction of the size.
- Target file size: enter a size in KB and each JPEG/WebP is saved at the highest quality that still fits, ideal for upload forms with a size limit.
- Upright photos: the rotation flag phones store in photos is applied, so nothing ends up sideways.
- Privacy: camera info (EXIF), including the GPS location, is removed unless you ask to keep it. The colour profile is kept (wide-gamut HEIC and AVIF photos are converted to sRGB), so colours don't shift.
- Never enlarge: images smaller than the requested size are left at their size (untick to scale them up; choose Nearest neighbour for crisp pixel art).
Supported formats
| Opens | Saves |
|---|---|
| JPEG (incl. CMYK), PNG (incl. 16-bit and APNG), WebP (incl. animated), HEIC/HEIF, AVIF, GIF (incl. animated), BMP, TIFF, ICO, TGA, QOI, PBM/PGM/PPM, ZIP of images | JPEG, PNG, WebP, and GIF/BMP/TIFF when keeping the original format |
Animated GIF, WebP and PNG (APNG) files stay animated: every frame is resized, and the frame timing and loop count are kept (saved as JPEG, an animation keeps its first frame). HEIC and AVIF photos are read directly and saved as JPEG (PNG when they have transparent areas) unless you choose another format; camera RAW files can't be resized directly: convert them first with the Image Converter.
Transparent areas stay transparent in PNG, WebP and GIF results, also when padding: the background colour only fills the added border. JPEG has no transparency, so there they are filled with the background colour, and the result says so.
