Make an animated GIF from your pictures
Upload the pictures in the order you want them (or a .zip of a folder), choose how long each one
is shown, and download the animation.
- Timing: the same time for every picture, from 20 ms up to a minute. Animated GIFs, WebPs and PNGs you add keep their own frame timing.
- Order: as uploaded, or by file name with numbers sorted naturally (
frame2beforeframe10), handy for numbered frames from a camera or an export. - Size: the animation takes the size of the first, the largest or the smallest picture, and is limited to 800 px on its longest side by default so it loads quickly. Pictures of another shape are fitted with a border (any colour, or transparent) or cropped to fill.
- Loops: forever, or a set number of plays.
- Upright photos: camera photos stored sideways with a rotation flag are turned first.
- HEIC and AVIF: phone photos are read directly (colours converted to sRGB); a HEIC burst or collection adds all of its pictures.
- Transparency: transparent pictures (PNG, WebP, GIF, HEIC, AVIF) stay transparent; the border colour only fills the border added around pictures of another shape.

For GIFs you can choose a palette per frame (best colours) or one palette for all frames (steadier colours, often smaller), the number of colours, and whether to dither. Only the part of each frame that changes is stored, which keeps the file small when the background stays still.
Tips
- Many large photos make a large GIF. Keep the size at 800 px or less and consider animated WebP, which is usually much smaller.
- To change an existing GIF (speed, direction, loops, rotation), use the GIF Editor; to make it smaller, the GIF Compressor.
