Converting Publisher files one by one is fine for a flyer, not for a parish's twenty years of bulletins or a school's folder of certificates. Here you upload the whole archive as one ZIP and get it back converted, with the same folders and names.
How to convert a folder of .pub files
- Put the folder (with its sub-folders) in a ZIP. On Windows, right-click it and choose Send to, Compressed (zipped) folder. On a Mac, right-click and choose Compress.
- Upload the ZIP. You can also add several
.pubfiles and ZIPs together. - Choose what you want: PDF, JPG or PNG pages, ODG, SVG, or everything at once.
- Download one ZIP.

What happens to the rest of the folder
Only .pub files are converted. Other files in the ZIP (Word documents, pictures, spreadsheets)
are left out and listed in the report, and hidden files that Macs and Windows add to ZIPs are
ignored. If two files would end up with the same name, for example Menu.pub and menu.PUB, the
second becomes menu (2).pdf, so nothing is overwritten. ZIPs inside the ZIP are not opened:
unpack them and upload their contents.
The report: which files to check
The download includes report.html and report.csv. The spreadsheet has one row per file: the
result, the Publisher version, the pages and page size, every font that was replaced and by what,
and notes such as missing WordArt or empty pages. Sort it by the result column to find the files
marked Converted, please check, and the few that could not be converted, with the reason.
Limits
One job takes up to 500 Publisher files; split larger archives into several ZIPs. The upload limit is shown in the form above. Page pictures at 300 or 600 dpi make large downloads, so for a big archive choose PDF or 150 dpi first, and convert the pages you need for print separately.
