    More options

For projects with a 3D model (Aspire components, or a model imported into VCarve): a closed STL solid in millimetres and a 16-bit greyscale height map.

Hidden layers usually hold guides and construction lines, so they are left out, as in Vectric's own view.

Bitmaps placed in the project (traced photos, logos) are embedded in the SVG at their position and size. The DXF holds outlines only.

Your files are deleted after processing.

A .crv file is a project saved by VCarve or Cut2D (.crv3d by Aspire), the CNC design programs from Vectric. Only Vectric's own programs open them, and they run on Windows only. If someone sent you a project, you downloaded one from a forum or a plan shop, or you no longer have the program, upload the file here to see what is inside and take the design with you.

    What you see after uploading

    • The drawing, rendered from the project's own vectors, next to the small thumbnail Vectric stored when the project was saved, so you can check that nothing is missing.
    • The layers with their names, colours and number of vectors, and whether they were hidden in Vectric.
    • The texts of the project, which arrive as outlines.
    • The toolpaths saved in the project: their names and kinds (profile, pocket, V-carve, drilling…) where the file records them, so you know how the job was meant to be cut.
    • The material: its size, thickness and units, and the version of the Vectric program that saved the file.
    • The 3D model, for Aspire projects and VCarve projects with an imported model, as a shaded picture seen from above.

    Good to know

    • Every Vectric version from VCarve Wizard 2 (2005) and VCarve Pro 3 to 12.5 is read, including Trial Edition files.
    • Projects with several sheets, or with a top and a bottom side, give one SVG and DXF per sheet or side.
    • Toolpaths themselves are not converted: they belong to a machine and its bits, so set them up again in your own CAM program from the list.
    • Nothing is changed in your file; it is only read. The upload is deleted as soon as the conversion finishes and the results are deleted after 30 minutes.
