    A Hy-Tek export (.hy3, .cl2 or the .zip Meet Manager makes), an SDIF file (.sd3), a Lenex file (.lxf / .lef from SPLASH, EasyWk or swimrankings) or a meet event file (.hyv / .ev3).

    Hy-Tek stores names in Windows-1252 (é, ü, ñ). Untick for plain ASCII (Muller instead of Müller).

    HY3 files don't store the meet's country. Empty = from the team addresses, else USA.

    HY3 files don't store the meet's city, which Lenex requires. Leave empty when the source file has it.

    Your files are deleted after processing.

    Meet hosts often send results as a Hy-Tek .hy3 or .cl2 file, which only Team Manager or Meet Manager opens. For a club newsletter, a record list or your swimmers' splits, a spreadsheet is easier: this page turns the meet file into an Excel workbook and CSV files.

    How to open an HY3 file in Excel

    1. Upload the .hy3, the .cl2, or the .zip Hy-Tek made. When the ZIP holds both, the HY3 is used. SDIF .sd3 files from TeamUnify or WinSwim work too.
    2. Optional, under More options: enter a team code or part of a team name to keep only your club, or tick Remove birth dates before sharing the file.
    3. Download the .xlsx, or the CSV files if you want plain text.

    What is in the workbook

    Times are real Excel time values, not text, so you can sort by time, calculate differences or average them without converting first. The results (or entries) and the relays also come as UTF-8 CSV files for other programs.

    Check the file on the way

    The page also shows the meet name, dates, course, the program that wrote the file, counts, and a validation report that flags wrong checksums, cut-off files, relays missing a swimmer and splits that don't add up. If Team Manager rejected the file, see fixing HY3 checksum errors.

    Tips

    • Printed results (PDF) and results web pages can't be converted. Ask the meet host for the Hy-Tek export or a Lenex file.
    • A Hy-Tek database (.mdb) is not an export. In Meet Manager or Team Manager use the export function and upload the file it writes.
    • Lettered events such as 2C or 26A keep their letters in the spreadsheet.
